Pennsic XXVII Thrown Weapons Schedule of classes and descriptions
Basic Thrown Weapons
- This class will cover general safety, range etiquette, weapons selection and maintenance, and hands on instruction in knife, axe, and spear. The class will be limited to 15 people and held at the thrown weapons range. We would like to offer this class at the following times:
- Thurs. August 6 at 1-3 PM
- Fri August 7 at 1-3 PM
- Sat August 8 at 1-3 PM
- Sun August 9 at 1-3 PM
- Mon August 10 at 12-2 PM
- Tue August 11 at 12-2 PM
- Wed August 12 at 12-2 PM
- Thurs August 13 at 12-2 PM
Advanced Thrown Weapons
- This class will cover a variety of throwing techniques and alternative weapons. The classes will also have an open forum for the exchange of ideas. The class is limited to 15 people and will be held at the throwing range. It is open to anyone who has completed the basic throwing class, instructors or by instructor approval. We would like to offer this class at the following times:
- Sat August 8 at 5:30pm-till?
- Mon August 10 at 5:30pm-till?
- Wed August 12 at 5:30pm-till?
East Kingdom Thrown Weapons Marshaling Class
- This class will include everything that is required to become a martial in the east kingdom. Topics like rules and their application, weapons inspection, setting up and running a range, target construction, etc. The class will be in two parts. Both parts must be completed for an individual to be eligible for warranting as an East Kingdom Thrown Weapons Marshall at Pennsic. Each set of classes will be limited to 15 people and will be held at the throwing range. It is open to anyone who has completed the basic thrown weapons class or by instructor approval. We would like to hold this class at the following times:
- Part 1
- Tues August 11 at 10-12noon
- Wed August 12 at 10-12noon
- Part 2
- Thurs August 13 at 10-12noon
- Fri August 14 at 10-12noon
